The good olive oil, & friends.

The stuff that makes plant-based life easier and happier.

The pantry

The bottles and bags I re-buy without thinking. If a recipe of mine ever tastes “right,” one of these is probably why.

The good olive oil

Not a luxury — a shortcut. A peppery, grassy olive oil makes a 5-minute dinner taste like you tried. I finish almost every bowl with it. This one's my actual current fave.

my most-used thing in the kitchen, honestlySee it

Nutritional yeast

The vegan pantry's magic dust. Salty, cheesy, a little nutty — it goes in sauces, popcorn, tofu scrambles. Big flakes, always.

Tahini

Dressings, dips, drizzles, cookies — a good runny tahini does all of it. Stir the jar well and keep it front and center.

Liquid smoke

Instant cozy. When a recipe wants “bacon-y” without the bacon, a few drops of this is the answer. A bottle lasts forever.

Medjool dates

Nature's caramel. Smoothies, energy balls, or just eaten over the sink — soft, sticky Medjools are the ones worth buying.

Cacao powder

For the brownies, the smoothies, the 9pm chocolate cravings. Deep, dark, unsweetened — the real thing.

The tools

Nothing precious, nothing single-purpose. These earn their counter space every single week.

Vitamix A3500

The one splurge I'll defend forever. Silky soups, cashew creams, smoothies that actually blend the dates. Buy it once, keep it a decade.

worth every pennySee it

Staub cocotte

Soups, stews, no-knead bread, Sunday sauce. Heavy, gorgeous, and it goes from stove to table like it owns the place.

Wusthof chef's knife

Prepping vegetables is 90% of vegan cooking, and a dull knife makes it miserable. One good knife beats a whole drawer of meh ones.

Half sheet pans

Roasted everything. Buy at least two so you can roast veg and bake the crispy chickpeas at the same time without waiting.

Boos maple cutting board

Big, sturdy, kind to your knife, and pretty enough to leave out. The board you reach for every single day.

Citrus juicer

Fresh lemon and lime in dressings, guac, everything. This gets every last drop without the seeds or the mess.

The supplements

My actual daily lineup at 44 — what I take and why. Not a doctor, just a curious nutrition nerd: always check with your own before starting anything new. The full story lives over on Healthy Happy Life

Magnesium glycinate

My nightly wind-down. Sleep, stress, muscle recovery — and the glycinate form is easy on digestion. Been in my routine forever.

Ritual Essential for Women

My baseline multivitamin — B12, iron, D3 and omega-3 in one clean, vegan-friendly capsule. I'm a fan of everything Ritual makes.

my daily baselineSee it

Ritual stress relief

Ashwagandha, L-theanine and saffron, taken at night. A few months in and honestly — it does take the edge off in the evenings.

Extra omega-3s

My eye doctor literally said “take more!” for my dry eyes — and it really helps. My Ritual multi has omegas; I add an extra capsule or two when I remember.

Reishi mushroom (Gaia)

The “longevity mushroom.” I don't eat a ton of mushrooms daily, so I supplement — mostly for stress support and immunity.

Five-mushroom blend (Kokora)

Reishi, chaga, lion's mane, cordyceps, maitake. I rotate mushroom supplements and these two brands (Gaia and Kokora) are my favorites.

Iron-C

I've always run on the low side with iron, so I keep this around. The vitamin C in the formula helps with absorption.

Vitamin D3 gummies

I get my D tested regularly, but in winter I like knowing I'm covered. Also — these gummies taste so good it almost feels like candy.

CoQ10 (Thorne)

Heart and cellular-energy support. Every functional-medicine person recommends it for mitochondria, and at 44, I'm paying attention.

Fatty15 (C15:0)

A pure, vegan fatty acid linked to cellular resilience and healthy aging. The science is compelling enough that I keep taking it.

BodyBio PC

Discovered via Gwyneth and Goop — say what you will. It supports brain and liver health, and I love feeding my cells what they need to repair.

Essential Skin Food

Amino acids for collagen support and skin longevity. Do I know if it's doing anything? Not 100%. But I like the science and I was influenced.

Probiotic (Bio-K+)

I rotate probiotics bottle by bottle — this is just the one on my shelf right now. Gut and immune support, no refrigeration hassle.

The cozy extras

Not strictly necessary. Deeply necessary.

Encha matcha

My favorite matcha, full stop. Smooth, grassy, never bitter — whisked into oat milk it's my 3pm ritual.

my faveSee it

Matcha whisk + scoop

The bamboo whisk is what makes matcha frothy instead of lumpy. A tiny ritual that makes the whole thing feel special.

Smeg toaster

Yes, it's the pretty one. But it also toasts like a dream — even, golden, every time. Countertop jewelry that works.

The big mug

For tea during the 3pm slump and coffee while the oven preheats. Handle big enough for both hands. You know the one.

Himalayan salt lamp

The warmest little glow for the kitchen counter at night. Cozy is a cooking ingredient, I stand by that.

Electric kettle

Tea, matcha, oatmeal, speeding up pasta water — once you have a fast kettle you wonder how you lived without it.
