Finding Vegan is operated by Polished DC LLC, which is the data controller for personal data collected through the Service — we decide why and how it is used.

What we collect and why

• Account data (email, username, display name, login credentials) — to create and run your account (contract).
• Profile and submissions (bio, social links, photos, recipe links, website for import orders) — to provide the Service and display your work (contract).
• Meal plans and saved recipes — to provide those features (contract).
• Support messages — to help you (legitimate interests).
• Usage, device and IP data — for security, fraud prevention and improving the Service (legitimate interests).

Payment details are collected directly by Paddle, not by us.

Who we share it with

• Service providers such as hosting, database, AI image analysis and site-reading tools, only to run the Service;
• Paddle, our Merchant of Record, for sales, payments, tax compliance and invoicing;
• professional advisers (legal, accounting);
• authorities where required by law.

Photos you publish are public by design, along with your public profile.

Retention

We keep data while your account is active and as needed for legal or accounting obligations, then delete or anonymise it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or port your data, object to processing, and withdraw consent. EEA/UK residents may complain to their data protection authority. We respond within one month. Some providers process data outside your country, under appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

Security and cookies

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encryption in transit and access controls. We use only essential browser storage to keep you signed in; no advertising cookies.
